We recently stayed at The Read House Hotel for one night, and it was a delightful experience! The historical charm of the lobby and common areas really sets the mood. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with rich wood decor that added to the lovely ambiance. The staff were extremely attentive and made us feel welcome. would come again for sure

The stay featured a spacious room with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom equipped with a walk-in shower and free toiletries. The fitness center was open late and had plenty of cardio machines, plus dumbbells. A real Starbucks on-site made mornings easy! The atmosphere was classy with old-school charm.

    art deco decor
    haunted room tour

We had a blast exploring the beautifully restored Art Deco decor and enjoyed the bar and billiards area. Our kids loved the cool tour of the haunted room! It was sweet to see how they embrace the Roaring ‘20s theme throughout the hotel.

    Felt very homey, no complaints.

Our family had a pleasant stay, enjoying the clean room and comfortable beds in a historic setting. The lobby is truly a piece of art! The staff were exceptional, tackling any issues swiftly, but the sofa bed definitely needs an upgrade. It's also ideally located, just a short stroll from local attractions like the riverwalk and the aquarium.

    captivating ambiance
    top-notch service

I gotta say, the service we got from the valet was top-notch; they were quick and so polite, made me feel like royalty. Plus, dining was excellent – felt like we stepped into a different era, the ambiance was captivating, and the food was a masterpiece.

Sure, it wasn't the least expensive stay, but honestly for the value we got, it was acceptable.

Absolutely loved the 1920s vibe! The upgrade to a tower room was a delightful surprise, and the atmosphere was a charming blend of elegance and fun. Highly recommend for a cozy couple’s getaway!

The lack of breakfast options had me contemplating room service like a hungry aristocrat. Guess I’ll just have to pack snacks next time!

Staying here felt like stepping back into a glamorous 1920s movie—between the stunning lobby with its gleaming chandeliers and the spacious room that had the most inviting bed, I was half-expecting a jazz band to start playing. I recently stayed at Read House for a work trip and was impressed with the modern decor that retained its historic charm. The room was spacious, featuring a large walk-in shower and very comfortable bedding. The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful, ensuring all my business needs were met efficiently. historic elegance
    modern comfort
    spacious room
    limited amenities

The combination of historical elegance and modern comfort creates a captivating atmosphere in the hotel. The spacious room featured updated decor, an oversized shower, and luxurious amenities that made unwinding easy.

Our room’s view faced a brick wall, dimming the ambiance. Notably, the pool was completely drained during our stay, limiting recreational options. While the hotel's location is convenient, it leans more toward catering to business travelers, leaving fewer amenities for tourists seeking leisure.
